what is black label?

Understanding the Prototype Processโ„ข

The Black Label product development and manufacturing process is a structured, end-to-end approach that transforms client concepts into premium, market-ready products. It begins with concept development, where ideas are refined through collaboration, market research, and feasibility assessments. Detailed technical specifications (tech packs) are created, followed by sourcing of high-quality materials and prototyping to perfect the design. Pre-production planning ensures timelines, costs, and samples align with the clientโ€™s vision, setting a strong foundation for manufacturing.

During production, rigorous quality assurance checks at multiple stages ensure consistency and adherence to standards. Post-production inspections validate that finished goods meet expectations, while custom packaging and logistics coordination finalize the journey. This process minimizes risks, optimizes outcomes, and delivers a bespoke product best aligned with the clientโ€™s vision.

Black Label: 3 Phases to Launch

DIGITAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

This phase begins with onboarding, where clients collaborate with the design team to discuss project details. The team creates a 3D digital prototype of the product, allowing clients to visualize the fit and design. After gathering feedback, a refined second version is produced. Once the client approves the final digital prototype, the process moves to pre-production planning with finalized tech packs and designs.

phase 1

PRE-PRODUCTION & SAMPLING

This phase focuses on creating physical product samples. After clients approve the quote and pay the sampling retainer, the team begins sourcing materials. The first physical fit and construction sample is created, followed by feedback to refine it further. The final fit sample is then produced, and a final tech pack is prepared for manufacturing. Clients update their order, and after the final quote is confirmed, the production agreement is signed.

phase 2

PRODUCTION

The production phase starts with purchasing materials and creating a pre-production (PPS) sample for final approval. Once approved, grading and size samples are finalized, and the Top of Production (TOP) sample is inspected. After receiving the green light from the client, full production begins, with quality control measures in place. Once production is complete, the goods are packaged and prepared for shipping.
